Hummingbird Ventures invests in robotics pioneer Automata
Automata leads the affordable robotics revolution with ‘Eva’ product range
CloudOrigin were delighted to perform Technology and Operational Due Diligence on London, UK based robotics startup Automata [ see website ] on behalf of Venture Capital firm Hummingbird Ventures as they brought their first product range – the versatile ‘Eva’ robotic arm – to market.
Eva is designed to make industrial automation easy, across a wide range of industrial and commercial use cases, with small batch production in mind. Shop floor workers can learn to program Eva in fifteen minutes, while it is compact enough to sit on a machine or even a desktop.
“Working with Automata was a fascinating exercise, reviewing hardware engineering from prototype to mass production product, alongside custom electronics, embedded control systems, sophisticated robotics and Artificial Intelligence control system research and traditional Software as a Service solutions in a multi-disciplinary team overcoming interdependent challenges on the way to a revolution product” commented Richard Hall, CloudOrigin CEO who led the Technology and Operational Due Diligence process.
